Minnie Siekmann nee Buethe was my great-great grandmother. She was born at Rolfshagen Nr. 10 to Heinrich Christian Conrad Buethe and his wife Marie Wilhelmine Leonore Ackemann on 03 January 1839. Minnie was raised in Rolfshagen and married Wilhelm Siekmann on 06 September 1857. She was the mother of eight children, seven who lived to adulthood and married. Wilhelm and Minnie left Germany on 12 May 1870 and emigrated to America with their four children. They lived the first year with in Will County, Illinois with Wilhelm's sister and her husband, Christian Buchmeier. They then settled in Fillmore County, Nebraska near Ohiowa where they remained for the rest of their lives.
