Wilhelm Siekmann was born at Rolfshagen Nr. 28 to Carl Heinrich Siekmann and Caroline Wilhelmine Eleonore Tegtmeier on 07 January 1830. He was their youngest and sixth child. At this time I do not have any records that would tell us about his education and life as a child. We know that he had four sisters and one brother. Wilhelm was married to Miss Engel Sophia Wilhelmine Buethe on 06 September 1857. They lived in Rolfshagen for almost 13 years after they were married. They were the parents of 8 children, five of whom were born in Rolfshagen. One daughter died there as an infant. Wilhelm and Minnie Siekmann emigrated to America on 12 May 1870.
