This is a view of the marketplace in Obernkirchen. The picture was taken from the side where Stifts Kirche sits and at the entry to the markets. Many of the people who work in the market place live in the homes immediately over their stores. I can imagine that my ancestors came here occasionally to trade, do business and to have their children baptized or to be married.
